Tender Machine keeps as little as each piece needs to work. This page says what is held, where, and for how long, across the whole site.

Reading the site
The pages of the site hold nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies; the site sets no cookies of its own. The typefaces are served from our own site, so no other company sees that you loaded a page.
Using a piece
- What you create. A piece stores what it needs to work: the names and words you type into it and what you attach. Where a piece encrypts its contents in your browser, we store only the encrypted form and cannot open it. What each piece holds is given under its name, further down this page.
- On your device. Your browser may remember what you made and the links to it, so you can find it again. That stays on your device.
- Payments. When a piece charges, Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, runs the payment page and holds your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive the order number, the amount and what it was for.
Who helps run it
- Vercel serves the site and runs its small server functions.
- Supabase stores what the shared pieces hold (servers in Seoul, South Korea).
- Lemon Squeezy takes payments as merchant of record.
We do not sell or share what you give us with anyone else.
How long
Each piece keeps what you create for a stated time and then deletes it, with everything attached; the time for each piece is given under its name below. Order records are kept as long as bookkeeping law requires.
Your choices
To have something deleted sooner, write to us with its link. To ask what we hold about an order, write to us with the receipt. The site is not meant for children under 13 to use on their own.

The Digital Post Office
The pile's name and the names typed into it are readable to us. Every gift's note, recording or photo is sealed in your browser with a key that exists only in the pile's links, so we store only the sealed form and cannot open it.
An unclosed pile is deleted after 90 days, and a closed pile 12 months after it is closed, with everything attached.
